London,UK -Young People Now, by Andy Hillier -28/09/05: -- Mobile buses give youth workers a way to target areas where there is little or no provision for young people. Reports on three successful local projects... From the outside, The Point youth bus looks just like a regular bus. It has four wheels, a door to one side and a driver's cab just about visible through the window. But once inside the similarity soon ends... The interior is crammed full of the latest technology, from high-spec computers to flat-screen TVs and the obligatory PlayStation 2... Each month, the bus will run events relating to community safety issues affecting young people. It will also go into schools to help provide extra IT facilities...
