EcoNews - USA - School Buses Adopt "No-Idling" Policy
NEW YORK, NY,USA -WNYC -Sept 26, 2005 — Five school bus companies have agreed to reduce air pollution in New York City by adopting a "no-idling" policy... State Attorney General Eliot Spitzer announced the agreements with the firms today, which together operate more than 1,700 school buses. The companies will also pay more than $60,000 in penalties for breaking state and city laws that already prohibit idling for more than a few minutes...
