Liberalise - Ireland - Fine Gael calls on Govt to open up the bus sector
Dublin,Ireland -Ireland Online -28/08/2005: -- Fine Gael has called on the Government to liberalise the bus sector after a new survey has found that more than two thirds of car commuters would use a bus if they had access to a regular service... For most people, it now takes 20 minutes to walk to their nearest bus stop and it takes twice as long to get to work by bus as it does by car... Fine Gael's Transport spokesperson Deputy Olivia Mitchell said that many areas of suburban Dublin are being neglected when it comes to public transport...
