Safety - Australia - Call for guards on buses
New South Wales, Australia -NEWS.com.au -Aug 21, 2005: -- SCHOOLS across New South Wales have united to call for the introduction of security guards on student buses following a series of attempted kidnappings in recent months... The Federation of Parents and Citizens' Associations, the Association of Independent Schools and the Catholic Schools' Association, will meet on Tuesday to call for security guards or teachers to supervise students at interchanges between buses and trains... FPC state president Sharryn Brownlee said student safety on public transport needed to be improved... "We should be looking at having security guards or teachers on buses," she said...
