Takes The Sales Tax Increase and Raises Rates
Miami,FL,USA -Miami Beach City Debate, by North Beach William -6/12/05: -- I recently discovered that Miami-Dade Transit, in what certainly seemed to be a very slid-quickly-under-the-door kind of move, raised their rates for riding the great Miami ghetto wagons. The basic rate hike is only a quarter..., which does not really seem so bad...until you really look into it.... Can I hear a big ol' rousing HOOOOOOOOOOPTY-DOOO!!! ?... Has anyone ever ridden a bus in Miami-Dade County? Let me give you a few tips on what it is like... 1) It is the ultimate GHETTO-WAGON... 2) Has anyone ever discussed with the drivers the fact that the cargo that they carry IS 'human'?... 3) And speaking of the 'flagging down' issue...correct me if I am wrong, but the word 'stop' on the sign that says 'Bus Stop' generally means that a bus should 'stop' there. Hmmm...Has anyone else noticed that in Miami-Dade, they have removed the word 'stop' from the signs? Damned good thing too...
