Port Charlotte,FL,USA -NBC2 News, by Chris Gilmore -Jun 20, 2014: -- Charlotte County School board members have made a major investment in their bus fleet. They approved a contract to convert 30 of their buses to run on natural gas... Board members say the change will save them money in the long run... As the school district phases out their buses that regularly run on diesel fuel, they will be spending up to $155,000 each to buy the new CNG buses... Things even out when the projected $100,000 savings in annual fuel costs is introduced...
