Cold Weather * USA - Causes problems for South Carolina buses
S. Carolina,USA -WTOC -Jan 13, 2010: -- The South Carolina Department of Education is dealing with a problem it has never seen before... The cold weather is keeping hundreds of school buses off the roads. There have been problems with the batteries, gear shifts and starters, among other issues. School officials and mechanics have been working overtime just to get kids to school on time... State law requires school buses be replaced after 15 years, but that hasn't happened. Almost 30% of South Carolina's school buses are overdue...Labels: weather troubles
