CAMERAS on BUSES * Australia - Bus passengers told to smile

Queensland,Australia -The Sunshine Coast Daily, by Toby Walker - 29 October 2008: -- Two buses run by Glasshouse Country Coaches have already had the state government-funded cameras installed with a third to get them in the coming weeks... The cameras, five on each bus, will operate on public services between Landsborough, Maleny and Nambour... Although coastal bus services between Noosa and Caloundra, run by Sunbus, have been at the centre of a number of violent incidents involving drunken youths this year, they are also better monitored... GCC manager Trevor Cave said the latest technology would allow drivers to bookmark incidents they see on camera in transit, allowing authorities quick access to the desired images when they download them after the journey...
