Littleton,CO,USA -The Denver Catholic Register, by John Gleason -17 Dec 2007: -- Daniel Kenny is concerned and wants people to know what he’s concerned about. Kenny is a member of St. Frances Cabrini Parish in Littleton. He is also is a bus driver for the Littleton School District. It’s what’s happing on the bus that he wants people to be aware of... Bus Radio offers kids a music alternative to what they hear on regular commercial radio... The Archdiocese of Denver does not operate an overall bus system for Catholic schools and none of the buses operated by individual Catholic schools subscribes to Bus Radio. Still, Superintendent for Catholic Schools Richard Thompson said this should be of concern to all educators...

Danny Kenny can't tell the public the truth. That he is racist against the colored skinned person. All of the songs that he refers to are sung by persons of color. He also doesn't tell you that anything with lyrics that may be questionable has been pulled. He is stuck on the same songs that were played at a high school level and they were content reviewed/edited. Those were removed from the playlist A.S.A.P. when complaints arose back at the beginning of Sept. 2007. He won't tell the truth on how it is a great security feature as well. It has a GPS tracking system in the event that a driver runs into troubles of a serious nature, the driver can make contact with local law enforcement and be found using a few simple steps. Mr. Kenny is quick to point out all of the bad points on Bus Radio. He doesn't tell you that he runs his Ipod music thru radio system and there is no guarentee as to what the kids listen to there. At least parents, schools and driver's know what is being played. I think Mr. Kenny has also forgotten that there is a law that separates church and state as well. He claims to be doing the work of the lord on school property. There were three songs played in the month of December that were white artists that had touchy lyrics but he didn't go after them. Why?? Mr. Kenny has taken this way too far, he has created a danger in the work place by making the other driver's so upset over his constant media coverage and I don't like to go to work as an end result of all of the conflict. Teachers and parents have all stood at the doors of buses and listened in and the one's I know of have problems as to what is being played. He has a following of none as I can see. Just what he feeds the Media. It's so amazing that if Bus Radio is so bad, why have no parents complained to the school board. When are you going to stop all of this nonsense Mr. Kenny? I am tired of hearing it, you should be done now too.
