Florence,AZ,USA -Casa Grande Valley Newspapers (Casa Grande,AZ) -28 Feb 2007: -- Nearly one year ago, Mark Lamas, transportation director for the Florence Unified School District, began looking into a unique opportunity to raise much-needed revenue. His research led him to the concept of paid advertising on the district's school buses... After seeing the results of successful school bus messaging in Tucson and Scottsdale, Lamas submitted a proposal to do the same to the FUSD board, which approved a motion to pursue a contract with Media Advertising in Motion during his Feb. 14 meeting... "No one really voiced any objections. The idea was very well received by the district office," Lamas said, adding that the estimated annual revenues ranging between $6,700 and $80,000 stated on the agenda submission was not a misprint...
