* Hybrid vs. Diesel: A Tale of Two Technologies

Which one will be “the” technology for the U.S. market—or will there be just be one?... Most OEMs are placing an emphasis on environmentally “green” vehicles and consider fuel economy and tailpipe emissions to be of utmost importance... The Asian automakers, mainly the Japanese, will focus energy on gas-electric hybrids, and Toyota will continue to lead the way through further development of its Hybrid Synergy Drive system...
