Justice - UK - Lothian to offer passengers £500,000 bus strikes payout
Edinburgh, Scotland,UK - The Scotsman, by ALAN RODEN -9 Aug 2005: -- BUS chiefs are set to pay out more than £500,000 in compensation following a series of crippling strikes in the city... The 60,000 passengers who own a Lothian Buses Ridacard will be offered a £10 discount to compensate for three one-day strikes and last week's wildcat strike... Direct debit customers will receive the discount in their September payment, while passengers who own advance purchase cards will be able to choose between the discount or one week's free travel...
