Change - Italy - Roma's buses go electric
Rome,Italy -AGI on line -Aug. 5 2005: -- Ansaldo Electric Drives is to supply new buses in Rome with electric engines. The Finmeccanica owned company is to install 36 AC inverter engines on 45 passenger minibuses. The buses themselves are to be supplied by company Zev based in Passignano (PG). The engines will be powered by high endurance Zebra batteries which provide buses with a 130 km range, namely average daily mileage. Ansaldo Electric Drives operates in researching electric drives for road vehicles, and relies on Ansaldo Ricerche to develop its technologies... |
